Route Clearance / PLGR
Prior to the installation of a submarine cable, the route along which the cable burial is planned should be cleared of outdated cables and any seabed debris that may delay the progress of burial operations by either plough or ROV.
The objective of Route Clearance (RC) and Pre-Lay Grapnel Runs (PLGR) is to ensure that the selected route is free from seabed and sub-surface debris or any artificial hazards, so that installation and subsequent maintenance operations are not hindered by the presence of such hazards.
Nordic Offshore has conducted project management of RC / PLGR operations as turn-key projects within installation assignments, and we offer to handle all aspects of the operation from permitting, chartering of vessels, personnel and final reporting.
