Corporate Social Responsibility - CSR Policy

Nordic Offshore Values
As a responsible corporate citizen, Nordic Offshore aims to act in a socially responsible manner at all times. The Company’s organizational structure is highly decentralized, and as such its businesses devise procedures appropriate to and compliant with local laws, culture and operating conditions but within the overall context of the Company Values.

Nordic Offshore objectives
The objective of Nordic Offshore’s Corporate Social Responsibility is the elements that drive the conduct of Nordic Offshore businesses. The way Nordic Offshore does business reflects its commitment to serve our customers with the best possible quality of services – and the greatest flexibility - all with the best personnel available. Nordic Offshore wants to foster professional and long-term relationships with our customers through our organisation, services and working procedures. Nordic Offshore will deliver an overall service, which fully satisfies our customer needs.

Nordic Offshore keystones
The company has three keystones that pave the road for the success.

Confidence, Experience and Professionalism.

Employees
Nordic Offshore recognises that its employees are the Company’s most vital resource and their importance in making the Company successful.  Nordic Offshore is guided by the aim of delivering a competitive and fair employment environment and to providing the opportunity for employees to develop and advance, subject to personal performance and business objectives.

Nordic Offshore is committed to offering equal opportunities to all people without discrimination as to race, sex, nationality, ethnic or national origin, language, age, marital status, sexual orientation, religion or disability.  The Company does not tolerate harassment in the workplace in any form and remunerates fairly with respect to skills, performance, competitors and local market conditions. Furthermore, in co-operation with the unemployment authorities, Nordic Offshore endeavours to employ marginalised, so that they may be remobilised into society. And the Company cooperates with universities, offering practical training and opportunities for writing thesis in co-operation with Nordic Offshore.

Nordic Offshore encourages an open and honest culture in all its dealings with employees.  Channels of communication appropriate to Nordic Offshore local businesses have been established to allow employees to voice their views and concerns and the Company briefs all employees and their representatives on all relevant matters on an ongoing basis.

Nordic Offshore Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Council
The Company has established the Nordic Offshore HS&E Council under the Director of Group Human Resources, who reports directly to the Chief Executive, and includes representatives from all the operating businesses.  This body is responsible for reviewing the HS&E performance, developing appropriate standards and procedures and overseeing the Company’s internal HS&E auditing process.

Environment
Nordic Offshore recognizes the impact that its businesses have on the environment and, as a minimum standard, comply with current applicable legislation in the countries in which it operates.

Nordic Offshore is committed to continuous improvement in the environmental performance, the prevention of pollution and to improving efficiency in the use of resources including energy, water and other raw materials.

The Wider Community
Nordic Offshore is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen through the support for appropriate non-political and non-sectarian projects across a range of organizations and charities.  Regardless of regional or national boundaries, the Company aims to support the creation of prosperous, educated, sustainable and healthy communities in the countries and cultures in which it operates - with a focus on education and enterprise, health and welfare, and the environment.

Nordic Offshore supports local charities both with financial and non-financial donations for educational, sporting or health related issues.

Applying Nordic Offshore principles
The Chief Executive has the responsibility for this area of activity, whilst business managers are responsible for ensuring the underlying policy commitments are applied.  The Senior Crew Manager is responsible for co-ordinating the operation of the policies and reporting on them to the Chief Executive. The Chief Executive will only be informed if there are discrepancies in any of the CSR policies.

Examples of support to local organisations or charity
Nordic Offshore has sponsored Faaborg HK, the local handball club for several years, and regularly support charities and NGOs, e.g. the Danish Fundraising for Charity, which in 2010 supported African women and the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
